Gulfport Hosts heARTful Holiday Market for Local Merchants Impacted by Recent Hurricanes
When Helene and Milton hit downtown Gulfport, the power poles used for Gulfport’s Indie Faire and Artwalk night markets were damaged. City of Gulfport officials and the Gulfport Merchants Chamber came together to create a special daytime event to celebrate resilience and recovery at a special event for merchants and local artists affected by the recent hurricanes. Brick-and-mortar small businesses from all around Gulfport and local Gulfport-based artists, will all gather along Beach Boulevard South in Gulfport’s Historic downtown district to celebrate the Holiday Season. Saturday, December 14, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., Beach Boulevard South will come alive with sidewalk shopping, family-friendly entertainment, and unique opportunities for holiday shopping.
Event Highlights:
Sidewalk Shopping: Stroll Beach Boulevard and see local shops and artists coming from all over Gulfport showcasing their products and creations along our picturesque sidewalks.
Gulfport’s own Gulfport Gecko Amalgamated Marching Band will appear at 1 p.m.
The Gulfport Merchants Chamber is excited to bring our community together for a day of fun and shopping. Gulfport’s local businesses are the heart of our town, and this event is an opportunity to show our support while enjoying everything our beautiful city offers.
The event is free and open to all. Attendees are encouraged to bring family, friends, and neighbors to explore the unique shops, enjoy the entertainment, and participate in this festive, community-driven day.
