Gulfport’s First Friday Art Walk: Small Town, Big Art
Gulfport’s First Friday Art Walk occurs each month from 5pm – 9pm. The streets of this creative town come to life with artists, musicians and art appreciators. Come join us each First Friday of the month and get inspired!
First Friday Art Walk is a juried event welcoming emerging and professional artists in all media to exhibit and sell in a safe, creative and socially distanced manner. This event is hosted by the Gulfport Merchants Chamber. All safety protocols are met and exceeded to ensure a safe and entertaining night out for the entire family.
Four times a year Gulfport hosts ‘themed art walks’. Each theme is designed to open your mind to new ideas and solicit conversation. Whatever it does, we trust you will leave inspired or ignited.
This year's Themes are:
April 1, 2022: In Plein Sight II. Join us as we celebrate our second annual plein air art show and art walk. The Gulfport Merchants chamber invites artists from across the region to ‘paint our town’ in plain sight for the week leading up to the art walk. Artists will show their ‘plein air paintings’ and submit them for awards during this First Friday Art Walk. Though this is a plein air celebration, we welcome all art mediums to apply for art walk.
July 1, 2022: Body Beautiful II. During this, our second annual Body Beautiful themed art walk, we once again celebrate the body, in all its manifestations. Come join us as we unfold that which we all share… a celebration of the body!
