In the aftermath of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, Gulfport experienced significant damage, with storm surges up to eight feet inundating downtown and residential areas, leading to the destruction of numerous homes and businesses. Despite these hardships, the community has made remarkable strides in recovery, with the majority of local businesses reopening and residents coming together to restore the city’s unique character.
