Gulfport's largest and most uniquely vibrant street event celebrates the end of summer with flair!
This signature event transforms Beach Boulevard into a festival to remember on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Honoring Gulfport's unofficial mascot, the gecko, the celebration boasts a different creative theme each year.
Attendees are highly encouraged to embrace the theme and arrive in costume. Stay tuned for an announcement of this year's theme.
- Free Admission: Pets and Families enjoy free admission and complimentary parking.
- Live Music: Enjoy diverse sounds from local musicians playing across multiple stages throughout the village.
- Local & Regional Exhibitors: Explore a vast marketplace filled with unique arts, crafts, gifts, and delicious food and drinks.
- Street Theater: Be entertained by roving magicians, stilt walkers, acrobats, jugglers, costumed characters, and more!
- Parade & GECKO Races: Join the wacky walking parade and participate in (or just enjoy watching) the Gecko Skateboard Races!
GECKOFEST is proudly presented by the Gulfport Merchants Chamber of Commerce and produced by SIK Promotions, Inc.
Don't miss the lead-up events held in the weeks prior, like the Gecko Art Show, Gecko Crawl (pub crawl) and the elegant Gecko Ball. The locals call it GECKOWORLD and it's the ultimate celebration of Gulfport's quirky charm and community spirit!
