The LGBTQ Resource Center at Gulfport Public Library is proud to initiate its new monthly LGBTQ Film Series on Thursday October 13th.
This is a free gathering of friends, family and neighbors to enjoy a new film on the second Thursday of each month. Enjoy free popcorn and bottled water. Feel free to bring your own “brown bag” supper. Each film will begin at 7pm in the Friends Room at Gulfport Public Library (5501 28th Avenue South).
Ushering in the film series will be a feel-good movie lauded as “the most honored film in the history of gay and lesbian film festivals.”
The opening film is a uniquely American fable about home and family. It hits upon the universal longing and hope we each have for finding a place where we are loved, and the unconditional desire to see those that we love find happiness. Starring Arye Gross, Eric Schweig, Tim DeKay, Louise Fletcher, George Coe and Nan Martin. Rated PG-13.
Save the dates for other upcoming films in the series on November 10th and on December 8th and continuing into the new year.
Watch for announcements of other films as they are added to the series. Licensing restrictions prohibit naming the title of films in the public press.
